Yom HaShoah, a day in memorial of the millions who perished in the destruction of European Jewry, a Day of Remembrance for the victims of the Holocaust, is observed on the 27th of the Jewish calendar month of Nisan and coincides with the anniversary of the uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto in 1943.
