It's one of the great benefits of being in Philadelphia and a high point of the year, especially after a prolonged winter. I spent Thursday at The Philadelphia Flower Show of The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the largest and most important such show in the United States, and whose only world competition is The Chelsea Flower Show of the Royal Horticultural Society. There are two days left but, if you can't make it this weekend and be among the 285,000 visitors to the 2003 Festival de las Flores, plan a vacation around the 175th anniversary show in 2004.
