There's discussion here and there of the accuracy of Rep. Nancy Pelosi's self-description as a "conservative Catholic." Her fervent promotion of the abortion license and her sympathetic embrace of the anti-Catholic Frances Kissling suggest that such a description of the Member of Congress from San Francisco is something less than accurate. It also suggests a facility at dissimulation that Alger Hiss might have envied.



Both Rep. Nancy D'Alesandro Pelosi (1962) and Kansas Governor-elect Kathleen Gilligan Sebelius (1970) are graduates of Trinity College in Washington, DC., a foundation of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
