It's a twenty-minute walk from the train to the office up near the Schuylkill River and the area becomes more suburban as the months pass. But there are still echoes of the rural. Groundhog and rabbit still have a presence. The walk is a pleasure more often than not and especially on a crisp October morning under the kind of vivid blue sky that opens the heart. And this morning, and unexpectedly, I shared part of the walk with a wild turkey, beautifully marked and mildly wary. It's made my day.
