Today is the anniversary of those ringing words of Admiral David Glasgow Farragut at Mobile Bay in 1864. His statue stands in Farragut Square in Washington D.C. with a nearby marker listing some of the many accomplishments of this great sailor and patriot. It's worth a visit.
